There are so many choices that we can't decide! But we'd like to do something that isn't the same old same old that everyone else does.
Anyone been to someone awesome for a honeymoon that you can recommend?

Are you looking to go in India or somewhere else?
We're going to do a cruise around different European cities in the Mediterranean. I haven't been yet, so I'm not sure I can really reco it, but I'm so excited!

How about an ecotour? or one of those volunteer + vacation ideas? my friends went to sri lanka to rebuild schools there after the tsunami a few years back, it was an unforgettable experience.

I think you should try an exotic location like Istanbul or Marrakech?

Well, I'm not married so naturally have never been on a honeymoon (!!!) but based on my travels, here are some ideas:
- Big City Blues: Head to New York or London. Enjoy the sights and sounds of two awesome cities that never sleep! And there's so much to do that'll you never want to go back to your room!
- Get Touristy: Exotic they are, with sun, surf and sand. Mauritius and Cape Town are perfect honeymoon destinations, without being oh-so in your face. From deep-sea diving, snorkelling, shark safaris and some great natural wonders, these two places have it all.

How about Greece and all those lovely islands on the Mediterranean? Sun, sand, great architecture, awesome food...and some very picturesque landscapes!

I'm thinking somewhere where you can see something new ... but then also have some couple time. Island hopping is always fun with a partner. The Maldive Islands are pristine and have that quaint ambiance as well as things to explore together. You can pick the island of your choice depending on your mood.

If you are planning on travelling in the winters then your choice is a bit limited. But a friend just came from a trip to Tunisia and Morocco and could not stop raving about how wonderful the places are. There are gorgeous resorts to offer you solitude and luxury and yet the hustle bustle of markets and lure of history and culture are never too far....

You wouldn't want to do it during the winter, but we did a cruise through parts of Alaska and Canada. Yup, we wanted to do something none of our friends were doing. You have to go during June/July/August, but it's amazing!
We took a helicopter ride and landed on top of a glacier -- which is an awesome site to see before global warming gets any worse.
And we saw all kinds of wildlife and did adventure sports galore.
Plus we were on a cushy cruise boat with all the food and drinks we could stuff ourselves with. Perfect for after all that time dieting for the wedding -- Ha!

An alaskan cruise is a great idea! there are areas that are barely touched with so much wildlife. Its definitely not your typical honeymoon and it would be an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend it .
