I am not that comfortable getting a huge number of cards printed....too much paper wastage (for something that will ultimately be consigned to other people's dustbins). Most of my friends have anyway mentioned that they prefer receiving e-cards, which I think is a great idea.
But it seems that paper cards are still a must for family and older generation. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi Sumati. I too feel the same way about wastage of cards, however you can opt for eco-friendly cards, cards made with recycled paper and avoid wastage by getting common cardsprinted for you and your fiancee. E-cards although seems like a practical option is not a very impersonal way to invite someone.

I think going with ecards only is a fantastic idea! And even the most traditional of guests will respect and admire your environmental motives -- do be sure to point them out to people.
And then don't forget to reach out to the few people who may not yet have embraced the internet age and won't otherwise understand why they're not getting a card in the mail. You wouldn't want them to be offended, or to miss the big event!

Using e-cards assumes that everyone you invite uses a computer. It certainly could save on expense and clutter. But will it reach everyone?
